This bill prohibits the U.S. from providing any funding—voluntary or mandatory—to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) or any successor organization. It also bars federal funds from paying U.S. delegations to UN bodies chaired by countries designated as state sponsors of terrorism, and blocks U.S. contributions to UN agencies led by such countries. Additionally, it strips UNRWA officials of diplomatic immunities they would normally receive.
UNRWA provides food, healthcare, and education to millions of Palestinian refugees.
